North Royalton Ohio Relocation
"Located 14 miles southwest of downtown Cleveland, North Royalton has seen unprecedented growth in the past decade. The flight of the middle class from the city and inner suburbs has largely transformed this formerly rural area.
Not all of North Royalton's growth is residential, however. Next to houses, the most frequent sight in the city has become onion domes and crosses. Drawn by the available land and the large numbers of Eastern Europeans living south of Cleveland, several Orthodox and Eastern Rite churches have moved to the neighborhood.
Though overall viewed as positive, North Royalton's rapid growth means city leaders have had to deal with the problems that come with progress. As the neighborhood made the transition from an area of rural homesteads to an upscale community of subdivisions, they've tried to reach a compromise. The southern area of town has been zoned as rural-residential, with lots at least an acre in size.
For newcomers attracted to North Royalton because of its mixture of suburban convenience with a rural feel, that's progressive thinking. "
